Workshop Service — TIG Welding on Putters

Welding

Removing stamps, blanking out the sole, preparing a head for a bespoke project — TIG welding is the structural operation that lets the work start again from a clean surface, with no compromise. Every operation is followed by a complete re-finishing.

Workshop note

Welding and finishing are inseparable.

The heat generated by TIG welding inevitably alters the existing finish around the work area. It is a physical constraint, not a variable — it applies to every operation, regardless of how precise the execution is.

That is why any welding carried out in the workshop involves a complete re-finishing of the head. It is not an option or an add-on: it is the condition for the head to leave in a unified, coherent state, worthy of the work performed.

Every welding operation is always followed by a complete re-finishing. The final finish — Tour Blast, oil can, nickel, chrome — is specified and confirmed with you before the project begins.
