One-to-One Custom Putter Studio

Bespoke Custom Putter Builds for Players Who Demand More

An independent putter studio focused on single-player builds and deep restorations — every project handled individually, with capacity intentionally capped.

How a Build Works

The process is fixed. The result is yours.

Every project follows the same structure — brief, bench, approval. Rod reviews each application personally before any slot is confirmed.

01

Brief & Scope

You submit a brief through the application form. Rod reviews it personally — what you're starting with, what you want to achieve, and whether the project fits the current bench. A slot is only confirmed after that review.

02

Bench Work

Once confirmed, the head enters the workshop process. Machining, weight work, finishing, and detail work are handled in sequence. The bench runs a limited number of concurrent projects — your build is never competing for attention.

03

Approval & Delivery

Before the putter leaves the studio, detailed reference photos are sent for your sign-off. It ships with documented specs and care notes — a record of exactly what was done and why.

Build availability is limited. Applications are reviewed individually.

About the Studio

Custom work crafted for the few.

Unik Golf is run by Rod — former high-level amateur player and putter specialist based in France. The studio focuses exclusively on bespoke builds and deep restorations for players who care the most.

The bench is equipped for precision milling machines, plating baths, a laser engraver, precision measuring tools, surface finishing equipment and more. Every stage of a project — from the initial metalwork to the final finish — is handled in-house by Rod. Nothing is outsourced, no process is delegated, and no detail is passed over. What leaves the bench reflects exactly the brief that came in.

Rod reviews every application personally. If the project is a good fit for the current bench, you will hear back directly with next steps and realistic timing.

Player Remarks

From clients who have been through the process.

"I came in with a very specific brief — a Phantom X with a long neck conversion, face-balanced, and a chromatic finish. Rod understood immediately what that meant technically and what it would take. The finished putter matched the brief exactly. That level of precision is rare."

J. Smith — USA

"Weight, sound and look all ended up exactly where we agreed at the start. The only surprise was how close the finished piece was to what we discussed in the brief."

Deep restoration — L.W., European Tour / Asian Tour

"The restoration kept everything that made the head worth saving while removing the years of damage that had made it unplayable. It's back in the bag and it will stay there."
